Forced Bedtime
Yes, I forced bedtime on them at 6:57 tonight. It was a rough day of child rearing, to say the least. The morning started with a 25 minute meltdown that didn't end until I dropped both boys off at school, and picked back up again as soon as they were both back in my care. Rough on all of us. I acquiesced to allow them to read together for half an hour. In 2 more minutes I'll close the book on today's child raising, and be grateful for a new day. But I'll also have this little image to lull me to sleep tonight. A precious moment of them reading together, without mom or dad...contentedness.
